2nd Latin American Workshop on Quantum Engineering and Quantum Software
Dates:
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 to Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Registration deadline:
Wednesday, October 29, 2025
As quantum computing evolves and becomes applicable, the need for
systematic, disciplined and measurable approaches to the development,
operation and maintenance of quantum software (and the classical
software with which it is integrated) grows. Many of the lessons we have
learned in decades of research, innovation and development in Software
Engineering are applicable in this new quantum-classical hybrid reality.
Still, this new context raises questions, challenges and opportunities;
identifying, characterizing and responding to them is the focus of
Quantum Software Engineering.
This workshop is proposed as a discussion forum, with special
interest in mobilizing the Latin American community, on how to produce
quantum software considering lessons learned from the classical software
engineering field, as well as novel approaches. This involves applying
or adapting existing software engineering processes, methods, techniques
and principles to quantum software development, and even creating new
methods and techniques to help create quantum software with the
appropriate quality attributes.
Topics
The topics of interest for the workshop are as follows:
- Quantum programming techniques and practices.
- Quantum software design
- Quantum computing algorithms
- Quantum software engineering methodologies
- Quantum software services
- Quantum program analysis and design
- Quantum software testing and verification
- Quantum software quality assurance
- Quantum software evolution and maintenance
- Quantum software modeling
- Quantum software production automation
- Model-driven engineering and generative techniques for quantum
software
- Metrics for quantum software
- Frameworks and tools for quantum software development
