CECAM Flagship Workshop on “Open Software for Neural Wavefunctions”

Dates:

Wednesday, July 2, 2025 to Friday, July 4, 2025

Registration deadline:

Friday, May 30, 2025

Applications are now open for the CECAM Flagship Workshop on “Open Software for Neural Wavefunctions,” to be held July 2–4, 2025, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This workshop will bring together leading researchers, software developers, and newcomers to chart the future of Neural Quantum States research and its supporting open-source infrastructure.

In particular, this CECAM Flagship Workshop aims to:
• Identify and address challenges originating from software that hamper the development of the field of Machine Learning for Quantum Simulation and Neural Quantum States;
• Kickstart new Open-Source Software efforts, in particular to satisfy the growing need of the community of reproducibility and sharing of Neural Network architectures and trained weights;
• Federate existing Open-Source Software efforts in the domain;
• Welcome new researchers and students to the wider community;

Through collaborative discussions and hands-on sessions, we will define best practices for developing open-source software, focusing on implementing recent advances and enhancing code sustainability. We welcome both experienced contributors and newcomers interested in shaping the trajectory of software for Neural Quantum States.

The registration deadline is Friday, May 30, 2025.
