PhD student in quantum photonic element development
We are seeking to appoint PhD student who will work on development of integrated quantum photonics with focus on single-photon sources and frequency conversion in Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia https://www.cfi.lu.lv/en/. This includes device designing, fabricating them using standard lithography workflows and device testing.
The future holder of this position will be working on designing and fabrication of integrated quantum photonic devices based on polymer-hybrid photonic platform. Institute of Solid State Physics hosts a large cleanroom facility with all the necessary equipment for optical and electron-beam lithography and experienced staff that can assist with accustoming to lithography workflows https://www.cfi.lu.lv/en/research/nanotechnology-center/.
The position holder should have interest in quantum photonics and integrated photonics. Any prior experience in lithography methods, fabrication of micro and nano optical structures and photonic device characterization will be viewed as beneficial.
