Work alongside leading researchers and get hands-on experience inside one of Australia’s most exciting quantum startups. Push the limits of silicon MOS based quantum computing in collaboration with a team shaping the future of scalable quantum devices including lead supervisor Dr André Saraiva. This PhD scholarship project offers tailored mentorship, specialised training, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge research that bridges academia and industry.

This project would suit an exceptional electrical engineering, quantum engineering or physics student with strong skills in quantum mechanics and data analysis, who can devise and apply practical engineering solutions for tomorrow's quantum computers.

Administered by Sydney Quantum Academy and made possible by CSIRO Next Generation Quantum Graduates program, these scholarships provide a competitive stipend of $41,650 per year for 3.5 years, plus a $15,000 training allowance, a $5,000 travel allowance, an $840 publication allowance, and a one-off $5,000 cost-of-living payment.
