We are seeking highly motivated PhD students to join our research group in Theoretical Quantum Physics. Candidates are expected to have either excellent analytical skills, ideally with a background in fermionic quantum systems and reduced density matrices, or a strong expertise in numerical methods used in quantum chemistry. Mathematical Physicists are encouraged to apply as well. Our projects are concerned with the interface of Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Many-Body Physics.

A post-doctoral position is opened at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG, formerly INAC) of the CEA Grenoble (France) on the theory and modeling of silicon spin quantum bits (qubits). The selected candidate is expected to start at the beginning of year 2022, for up to two years.

Quantum Optics Lab is located at the Özyeğin University in Istanbul.
Our activities span a large spectrum from development of a intra-campus
quantum network to quantum memories based on cold and hot atomic

We offer a fully online gradate-level course (6 ECTS credits) on “Quantum Computing and Programming” as a part of the collaboration among QWorld, University of Latvia, and Rigetti under the QTOM (Quantum Technologies Open Master) Pilot by QTEdu. The course will start on Sep 13, 2021. We will have lectures and labs (with extra activities such as invited talks, Kahoot games, etc) until at the end of November. Each student will complete 10 quizzes or homework. Then, the project phase will start with a hackathon, and the students will have a month to complete their term projects (mid-January). The final grade will be out of 100, and each student will be able to receive an official document with her final grade provided by the doctoral study program of Faculty of Computing at University of Latvia.
