The Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) at the University of Surrey is looking to employ a full time Post Doctoral Researcher for a fixed term position to participate in the EPSRC-funded HyLight project. This project aims to develop hyperuniform disordered nanophotonic structures in which geometrical and topological correlations are accurately controlled for the next-generation of photonic devices, including low-threshold micro-lasers and novel flexible optical micro-circuit architectures.

Shikano group at Institute for Molecular Science, National Institutes of Natural Sciences, located in Okazaki, Aichi, Japan opens the visiting positions from December 1st to March 31st. Tensor networks are recognized as one of the most promising numerical tools to study quantum many body systems; representatives are the matrix product state (MPS), the multi-scale entanglement renormalization ansatz (MERA), and the projected entangled-pair states (PEPS), and Density Matrix Renormalization Group(DMRG). By now, the concept covers various fields including material science, quantum chemistry, and lattice gauge theories, and it is desired to share ideas among these fields.
