Welcome to Quantiki

Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.

Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We are also distributing news via X (Twitter) feed, Bluesky news feed, and LinkedIn profile. We encourage you to follow us on social media to get the recent news from quantum infromation community.

Title: Universal blind quantum computation

The registration is now open for the International Workshop "Horizons of Quantum Physics: from Foundations to Quantum-Enabled Techonologies", to be held in Taipei, Taiwan on October 14th - 18th 2012.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to contribute through poster presentations which will be displayed in the designated area adjacent to the workshop floor. Registration and poster abstract submission can be carried out on our webpage. Please note you can register first and submit your abstract at a later time by logging in on our website.

The workshop "Horizons of Quantum Physics" sits at the crossroads of cutting edge Theoretical Quantum Physics, Experimental Quantum Information Processing and Industrial Research. Its scope is to create a top level environment for discussion and confrontation where a common language between theorists, experimentalists an technologists might start to develop, with the ultimate goal to explore and enable the fascinating knowledge that will shape the world of tomorrow.

Call for Applications:
A 2,5 year Post-Doc position is available at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam. The candidate will join the Vidi project of Dr. Sonja Smets.

VIDI Project: ‘Reasoning about quantum interaction: Logical modelling and verification of multi-agent quantum protocols’:

Constantin Piron, famous for many things including the Jauch-Piron NoGo-theorem and his reconstruction theorem, and of course his beautiful book Foundations of Quantum Physics, has died at the age of 80 on May 9, 2012. While usually associated with quantum logic, he strongly emphasized an operational underpinning of axiomatic concepts, and boldly went against any dogma, including quantum logic.

We are pleased to announce the availability of a PhD position at the University of Nottingham within the project on a Quantum integrated Light and Matter interface funded by the European Comission through the Fet-open Young explorers call. The aim of the project is to create a single device, which permits to manipulate, store and control light on a single photon level using tailored quantum matter.

We are now accepting submissions for QCRYPT 2012 to be held in Singapore 10 – 14 September, 2012. Submissions of abstracts for contributed papers are sought in both theoretical as well as experimental quantum cryptography and related fields. We encourage submissions from related areas such as non-locality and information theory. Paper submission deadline is 20 May, 2012 and poster submission deadline is 1 August 2012.

We are currently entering a new technological era where quantum mechanics is used not only to predict physical behaviour but increasingly to exploit quantum resources in applications such as Quantum Communication, Cryptography, Computation and Metrology. Due to the probabilistic nature of quantum measurements, statistical inference based on measurement data plays an increasing role in analysing and validating the results of quantum experiments.
