The Institute of Physics at the National Autonomous University of
Mexico (UNAM) is seeking outstanding candidates for Tenure-Track Faculty
Positions (equivalent to the UNAM categories of Investigador Asociado
āCā or Investigador Titular āAā), depending on experience and skills,
for specific projects in Theoretical or Experimental Physics.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a PhD and have a solid background in Physics or a related
field.
- Have at least two years of postdoctoral experience.
- Preferably, be under 39 years of age for women, and under 37 for men
before taking the position.
- Have demonstrable experience and scientific achievements in one or
more of the following research areas:
- High-energy physics, including: particle physics, cosmology,
astroparticles, quantum field theory, and nuclear physics.
- Quantum physics and optics, including: quantum information, quantum
technologies, foundations of quantum mechanics, atomic and molecular
physics, and nonlinear optics.
- Nanosciences and condensed matter, including: physical and chemical
properties of clusters and nanoparticles, and soft matter.
- Applied physics and interdisciplinary topics, including: medical
physics and complex systems.
Applications involving the use of artificial intelligence techniques
to develop the aforementioned research areas will also be
considered.
