École polytechnique, a prestigious institution within the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in Condensed Matter Physics. The successful candidate will join the Interdisciplinary Center “Materials for Society” (M4S) within the Physics Department. The M4S Center unites researchers across physics, chemistry, mechanics, and applied mathematics, focusing on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in materials science.

Candidates must hold a PhD in condensed matter physics, demonstrate an international research profile through high-level publications or patents, and present an original research project aligned with IP Paris’s scientific strategy. The role involves active participation in scientific leadership within the Center and collaboration with research laboratories and industrial partners. Teaching responsibilities include contributing to all academic levels (Bachelor, Engineering Cycle, and Master) with a focus on interdisciplinary education, project-based teaching, and integrating research and applications into the curriculum.
