Non-Invasive Measurements
The Quantum Phonics Group at the Université de Moncton
(largest Francophone university in Canada outside of Quebec), led by
Dr. Lambert Giner, is seeking a motivated graduate student (MSc) to join
a research project focused on novel techniques for characterizing
quantum states without disturbing them.
Essential Requirements
-
Bachelor of Science in Physics is an asset(or international equivalent)
-
Applicants with degrees in Mathematics or Engineering will also be
considered if they have successfully completed key physics courses
(Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Electromagnetism, Experimental Physics)
Language Requirements French proficiency is mandatory.
Applicants must specify how they meet or intend to meet the
language requirement.
Additional Desired Skills
-
Ability to communicate in English
-
Experience in free-space or integrated optics (e.g., internships or lab
work)
-
Programming experience in C#, Python, or MATLAB, demonstrated through
coursework or projects
Funding and Support The selected candidate will receive the standard
MSc stipend from Dr. Giner’s research grants, supplemented by a teaching
assistantship. Students will also be encouraged and supported in
