PhD and Postdoc Opportunities in Research on Quantum Algorithms for Quantum Chemistry
The Quantum for Life Center is looking for a PhD student interested
in taking part in the development for quantum algorithms for quantum
chemical systems. The PhD student would be employed at the Department of
Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen supervised by Professor
Matthias Christandl with co-supervision by Professor Markus Reiher from
ETH Zurich in Switzerland. The project would involve the development of
new quantum algorithms as well as the theoretical and numerical analysis
on concrete example molecules. Potential candidates are expected to have
a background and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
theoretical chemistry, scientific computing, theoretical physics,
quantum information and computation. For more information on the Quantum
for Life Center, please see https://quantumforlife.ku.dk/
If interested please apply through
https://www.math.ku.dk/english/about/jobs/phd-stipends-in-mathematics-se...
(deadline 1st April 2025) and send in parallel your application material
to Center Administrator Lise Steen Nielsen (lsn@math.ku.dk).
There are also opportunities for postdocs on the above mentioned
topic. If interested, please get in touch with Lise Steen Nielsen
(lsn@math.ku.dk).
