Photonic quantum computing
Quandela is a spinout company from the French national laboratory
CNRS, based in the Paris region, that develops quantum computers based
on the manipulation of single photons. Its core technology is
quantum-dot single-photon sources with a spin degree of freedom,
enabling quantum information to be encoded on both spins and photons.
Quandela’s R&D teams conduct research on semiconductor quantum dots,
quantum optics and integrated photonics, device modelling, error
mitigation, compilation, quantum error correction, and algorithms.

Summary of Position and Responsibilities
Xanadu, a well-funded quantum computing startup located in downtown Toronto, is looking for experts in quantum error correction and fault tolerance. As part of the Xanadu Architecture Team, the main responsibility of the candidate will be to develop and extend fault-tolerant error-correcting codes for Xanadu’s quantum photonic computational platform.
