Quantum states in continuous variables (CV) represent a promising
approach in quantum computing and communication. They offer significant
advantages over discrete variable states (such as single-photon states),
including deterministic generation and efficient detection. In
particular, multimode squeezed states are essential for synthesizing
cluster states, which are considered one of the most promising
architectures for all-optical measurement-based quantum computation.

The aim of the role is to realise functional quantum memories using
the electronic and nuclear spins of tin-vacancy (SnV) colour centres in
nanofabricated diamond chips, using quantum optical control from single
confined spins using both optical and microwave fields. The research
topics will include the realisation of efficient photon emission,
high-fidelity coherent spin control using optical and microwave control,
demonstration of spin-photon quantum entanglement, and quantum
information transfer and storage in nuclear spin registers.

Postdoctoral Position in Quantum Information Theory –
University of Valencia
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the University
of Valencia and IFIC (UVEG-CSIC). The successful candidate will join the
research group of Manuel Gessner in quantum information theory and
quantum metrology, as part of the Quantum Technology Group at IFIC.
The Niels Bohr Institute invites applicants for a PhD fellowship in
Theoretical Quantum Optics and Quantum Information. The project will be
part of the theoretical quantum optics group and the Center for Hybrid
quantum Networks (Hy-Q).
Start date is (expected to be) September 1st 2025, or as soon as
possible thereafter.
One senior postdoc position is available in the theoretical quantum
optics group at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. The
position will be part of the quantum internet alliance which is a
