The Quantum Algorithms Institute was established in March 2020 as a not-for-profit corporation. The Institute has been created as an industry, academia, and government collaboration to grow the applied quantum computing ecosystem in British Columbia and Canada that will create a home-grown talent pipeline to meet industry needs and that supports commercialization efforts of applied quantum computing research and algorithms development. The Institute will work across academia and industry to solve real-world problems that traditional computers are not capable solving.
