Work alongside leading researchers (A/Prof Jarryd Pla and Dr Tim Botzem) and get hands-on experience inside one of Australia’s most exciting quantum startups.

This project will advance CMOS-compatible quantum hardware and contribute to the development of fault-tolerant quantum computing systems by tackling challenges in the design, fabrication, and integration of microwave-frequency amplifiers operating at the quantum noise limit.

Application deadline:

Wednesday, October 1, 2025

Quantum states in continuous variables (CV) represent a promising approach in quantum computing and communication. They offer significant advantages over discrete variable states (such as single-photon states), including deterministic generation and efficient detection. In particular, multimode squeezed states are essential for synthesizing cluster states, which are considered one of the most promising architectures for all-optical measurement-based quantum computation.
