The activity concerns the establishment of a new public research and user platform for quantum computing: “aQCess -Atomic quantum computing as a service” which brings together a large number of French and International academic and industrial partners and is supported by the “Plan d’Investissment d’Avenir” of the "Agence National de la Recherche" and the “Programme et Equipements Prioritaire de Recherche Quantique” (PEPR) within the French national quantum strategy.

Cambridge Quantum is expanding its Quantum Error Correction team in its Cambridge office. As a Research Scientist, you'll work on reducing error rates in quantum states, gates, preparations, measurements, and algorithms. This includes, but is not limited to, improvements in compilation of quantum algorithms into sequences of fault-tolerant operations, the design of quantum error-correcting codes and fault-tolerant circuits, as well as advances in quantum control and device/process characterization.
We offer year-long research assistantships (x2) to undergraduate or masters students who are interested in working in cutting-edge research environment and learning how to build quantum technologies. You will work alongside the team to perform day-to-day operations of the lab, carry out various experiments, and contribute to the development of key experimental apparatus. Through this, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about quantum circuits, integrated optics and their supporting technologies.

Do you want to be part of the 2nd quantum revolution? Do you want to bring photonic technologies to a single quantum level? Do you want to build novel photonic quantum processors?
PhotonQ aims at building a photonic quantum processor and create novel methods for efficient photonic information processing.
You will develop, integrate, and apply quantum computing and advanced classical methods for computational chemistry. You will benefit from the internal expertise, a network of multi-year collaborations with high profile players in this space including the Google Quantum AI team and quantum computing startup QC Ware, as well as state-of-the-art HPC infrastructure. Through this setup, you will get the opportunity to work in industry on cutting edge technology and do basic science and method development.
We are looking for exceptional and motivated candidates for a postdoc / quantum softwere engineer in quantum device characterization and error mitigation. The position is funded by the grant " National Supercomputing Infrastructure for EuroHPC - EuroHPC PL" realised in Center for Theoretical Physics PAS in Warsaw and coordinated by dr Michał Oszmaniec.
