The newly established team “Quantum Chaos in Many-Body Systems”, led by Dario Rosa, is looking for several postdoctoral fellows as well as Ph.D. students willing to join the group.

The research interests of the group cover several topics, whose common theme is to study how quantum chaos (or its absence) affects the dynamical properties of quantum many-body systems. Among them, the group is currently focusing mostly on the following themes:

We are inviting applications for PhD and postdoc positions at the University of Stuttgart.

Postdoc position 1: The successful candidate will work on the development of integrated silicon circuits and their use in quantum information processing with a focus on quantum networks. This includes designing silicon photonic circuits, testing them, and using them in quantum photonics.

Application deadline:

The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology group at Stockholm University invites applications for a postdoctoral position for our trapped Rydberg ion project. The successful postdoc applicant will work on an trapped ion experiment to perform fast quantum gates and quantum algorithms via Rydberg interaction.

Application deadline:

Wednesday, March 31, 2021

A postdoc position is available in the group of Yoichi Ando at the University of Cologne. We are researching topological quantum computing based on superconductor/topological-insulator hybrid devices. Our group has successfully demonstrated Josephson junctions based on state-of-the-art topological insulator materials that are synthesized in-house, including exfoliated BiSbTeSe2 flakes, MBE-grown (Bi,Sb)2Te3 thin films, and VLS-grown (Bi,Sb)2Te3 nanowires. We are currently focusing on integrating those junctions in devices aimed at realizing Majorana zero modes.

Application deadline:

Scope of work:
We are looking for a co-investigator in a H2020 EURAMET EMPIR 18SIB05 ROCIT „Robust Optical Clocks for International Timescales” project. The goal of our group is to improve the robustness of optical clocks so that they can run unattended for long periods. Quantum Science Group at Duke Kunshan University, led by Myung-Joong Hwang, is offering postdoctoral research positions to conduct research in the area of theoretical quantum optics, many-body physics, and quantum technologies. A potential research topic includes, but not limited to, understanding cooperative and critical quantum phenomena of strong light-matter interaction and finding their application for quantum technologies such as quantum simulation and quantum metrology.

The Quantum Photonics Laboratory at Heriot-Watt University seeks a talented and motivated scientist to start a new line of research on quantum technology with stoichiometric rare-earth crystals for quantum memory applications. Significant goals include the characterization of the optical and spin properties of different crystals, optimization of their electronic and spin coherence, and the implementation of quantum memory protocols in both bulk crystals and waveguide structures.

Application deadline:
