In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (analogue gravity).
Possible topics include implementations of analogues of trans-Planckian physics in cosmology and in Hawking radiation, and the proper treatment of the quantum backreaction problem.
Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.
Ph.D. and Postdoc positions are available in the integrated hybrid quantum circuits group at IQST University of Calgary.

We invite applications for research associate or postdoctoral associate positions in theoretical Quantum Information Science in the Physics Department of Virginia Tech. The focus of these positions will be on quantum simulation of quantum chemistry and other quantum algorithms and on quantum control, with an emphasis on near-term superconducting qubit devices. There will also be an opportunity to test these theoretical results on cloud quantum processors (Virginia Tech is in IBM’s Q Hub, which provides access to 20+ qubit devices).
