Work alongside leading researchers (A/Prof Jarryd Pla and Dr Tim Botzem) and get hands-on experience inside one of Australia’s most exciting quantum startups.
This project will advance CMOS-compatible quantum hardware and contribute to the development of fault-tolerant quantum computing systems by tackling challenges in the design, fabrication, and integration of microwave-frequency amplifiers operating at the quantum noise limit.
This project would suit a motivated electrical engineering, quantum engineering or physics student with strengths in quantum mechanics and microwave/RF design looking for a challenge in developing innovative and practical engineering solutions for cutting-edge quantum technologies.
Administered by Sydney Quantum Academy and made possible by CSIRO Next Generation Quantum Graduates program, this scholarship provides a competitive stipend of $41,650 per year for 3.5 years, plus a $15,000 training allowance, a $5,000 travel allowance, an $840 publication allowance, and a one-off $5,000 cost-of-living payment.
