We are a newly established group at Stockholm University with open PhD and postdoc positions. Research in the group focuses on quantum optics, quantum control and quantum information theory. One major research interest is the interface between gravity and quantum physics at low energies, focusing on how gravity affects quantum optical systems, what novel effects can arise and how to probe them in experiments. In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (analogue gravity).
Possible topics include implementations of analogues of trans-Planckian physics in cosmology and in Hawking radiation, and the proper treatment of the quantum backreaction problem.
Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.
