There exists a prestigious and well-funded PhD scholarship for a student to undertake research on the theory of acoustic modes interacting with superconducting qubits at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. The project will be undertaken under the supervision of Dr Matt Woolley, Dr David Powell, and A/Prof Andrey Miroshnichenko. The scholarship includes a stipend of \$AU41,209 per annum for four years, a travel allowance of up to \$AU10,000 per annum, and covers all tuition fees.

Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, announces a postdoctoral position in the field of quantum metrology and sensing. The main objective of the project is to develop new techniques or use the existing state-of-the-art methods in quantum metrology to some physical applications, such as quantum communication, quantum optomechanics, or interferometry with active elements. Applicants are welcome with a background in estimation theory or metrology/sensing or in any of the mentioned fields of application.
