The project aims to optimally allocate available quantum and classical resources a developer needs for a specific algorithm, by breaking larger circuits into smaller pieces that are distributed to different quantum processing units in parallel, with few quantum connectives between them, and then recombining the results.

The newly established Mathematical Quantum Information research team at RIKEN is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers for a period of 2 years each. The positions can begin as soon as possible.
The successful candidates will work on the project "Foundations of quantum resources: mathematical theory for the structure and applications of quantum phenomena", which is a broad and open-ended investigation of the mathematical foundations of quantum information, and will offer a large degree of flexibility.
Topics of particular interest include: quantum resource theories, theory of entanglement, classical and quantum Shannon theory, convex optimisation problems in quantum information, quantum foundations.

We’re thrilled to announce that this year's Time in Quantum Theory (TiQT) conference will take place between 4th-7th September 2023 at the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport, Ireland. TiQT aims to bring together disparate communities, providing a common platform to discuss questions including:
- Fundamental limitations to time keeping: how accurate can physical clocks be? This includes, but is not limited to, models for clocks, quantum information theory, and thermodynamics.

One fully funded PhD position to work with Prof Elham Kashefi in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh on a project titled “Quantum Computing”.
