Welcome to Quantiki
Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.
Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We are also distributing news via X (Twitter) feed, Bluesky news feed, and LinkedIn profile. We encourage you to follow us on social media to get the recent news from quantum infromation community.
I am looking for motivated scientists to join my new group at the University of Augsburg, Germany.
You will work on theoretical modeling and simulation of spin qubits in quantum dots.
Application deadline:

The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University Tübingen is looking to fill a
post-doc position in Quantum Information Theory
(E13 TV-L position). The position will be offered for 12 months and will have as topic the development of novel quantum algorithms, in the framework of a project funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg. One of the latest and most powerful quantum computers from IBM will be available for implementing and testing the theoretical ideas.

The PhD candidate will develop QKD hardware for satellite-based QKD, in collaboration with researchers from Toshiba Europe Limited and Heriot Watt University. Particular attention will be given to the development of optimized devices for quantum random number generation and free-space quantum key distribution transmission. The candidate will implement innovative schemes for information encoding at different wavelengths, assemble devices using discrete optics and participate to the development of the control electronics. The optics to decode the encoded pulses may also be developed in the scope of the PhD project.

In this project, the candidate will work on developing new techniques
to support phase-based quantum communications and enable their wider
adoption. The project will be carried out under the joint supervision of
Dr Andrew J. Shields of Toshiba Europe Ltd and Prof Marcos Curty of the
University of Vigo, and will primarily be conducted at Toshiba's
Research Laboratories in Cambridge, UK. The project will involve
experimental work that will be accompanied by theoretical modelling and
simulations.
The candidate will receive funding for 3 years and during this period
will pursue a doctoral degree that will be awarded by the University of
Vigo, Spain. The candidate will join a recently funded MSCA European
Doctoral Network (DN) on quantum-safe Internet: QSI.

The CEWQO conference series started in early 1990s in Central Europe and gradually transformed into one of most popular annual meetings of European scientists interested in foundations and applications of quantum optics. Quantum optics gave birth to quantum information and continues to be the driving force to design innovative theoretical and experimental approaches. The aim of this edition of CEWQO is to discuss new topics and provide inspiration going beyond quantum technology.
