We are seeking a talented experimental physicist with experimental experience in quantum photonics to set up an entangled photon source and create an entanglement-based quantum random number generator (QRNG). This Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available via the EPSRC’s Quantum Technologies Hub in Quantum Communications, with the successful candidate being employed by the University of York and based at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in Teddington, London within its experimental quantum photonics team.
PhD and postdoc positions are available in the group of Prof. Stefan Willitsch at the University of Basel (Switzerland) on the development of quantum technologies for single trapped molecular ions and their application in precision spectroscopy.

The mission of the Institute for Quantum Computing Analytics (PGI-13)
is to model and improve quantum computing systems on multiple levels.
From optimal control of the hardware, over error mitigation and
compilation, to application specific quantum algorithms. We focus
working on interfaces between disciplines in large innovative projects
that strive for the development of scalable and useful quantum
computers. In a tight integration with quantum computer hardware
developers, we investigate the applicability of quantum computers
The Quantum Fluids of Light group led by Julian Schmitt at the Institute of Applied Physics, University of Bonn (Germany) is inviting applications for a PhD position. The position is funded within an ERC Starting Grant. The specific research aims are as follows:

We are inviting applications for two PhD positions on quantum dynamics in the group Qhaos led by Silvia Pappalardi.
Several questions lie at the interface between quantum information theory and the dynamics of out-of-equilibrium many-body physics. How does quantum chaos emerge in the dynamics of many particles stems? Can we use quantum correlations to challenge classical dynamics? Our group is interested in the study of many-body dynamics using tools of statistical mechanics and quantum information, in particular entanglement.
