TCG Centres for Research and Education in Science and Technology (TCG CREST) aspires to be a world-leading research institute in the area of science and technology. The objectives of TCG CREST are to conduct basic and translational research at the frontiers of both science and technology, and impart high quality education to PhD scholars. The Centre for Quantum Engineering, Research and Education (CQuERE) is one of the centres at TCG CREST dedicated to performing cutting edge research and high-quality education at the PhD level in the emerging areas of quantum science and technology, and thereby train future researchers for academia and industry. The research at CQuERE is being carried out to meet some of the objectives of the National Quantum Mission.

As part of new initiatives in the area of quantum computing, including an MSc program in quantum information science, we are looking to hire one or more researchers who can extend the Computer Science department’s profile in quantum computing (broadly conceived). The department is part of the University of Copenhagen Quantum Hub together with Department of Chemistry, Niels Bohr Institute, Department of Biology, and Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Montclair State. Priority will be given to a researcher who can carry out experimental research in quantum information science/quantum computing. Other fields of experimental physics may also be considered, especially atomic, nuclear, or particle physics. The applicant should be able to carry out an externally-funded research program in experimental physics that can involve undergraduate students on the Montclair State campus.
