The goal of the Workshop on Quantum Simulations 2013 is to gather the leading and interested scientists in theory and experiments on quantum simulations with an open interdisciplinary scope. Quantum simulations consist in the intentional and artificial reproduction of a quantum dynamics, difficult to access and study, onto an unnatural quantum system that is more controllable theoretically and experimentally.

The Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw invites applications for two research positions in quantum physics and quantum optics. Applications are invited for an EPSRC-funded postdoctoral position in quantum information theory at Heriot-Watt University, to work with Dr Erika Andersson on quantum digital signatures. The work concerns investigating the security of novel schemes for quantum digital signatures.
