The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology Group at Stockholm University
invites applications for a highly motivated PhD student to join our
pioneering research in quantum simulations with trapped Rydberg ions.
The aim of the PhD project is to develop a 2D ion trap experiment for
open system quantum simulations using Rydberg ions. This position is
part of the ERC Synergy project “Open 2D Quantum Simulator
(OPEN-2QS)”.

Work alongside leading researchers and get hands-on experience inside one of Australia’s most exciting quantum startups. Push the limits of silicon MOS based quantum computing in collaboration with a team shaping the future of scalable quantum devices including lead supervisor Dr André Saraiva. This PhD scholarship project offers tailored mentorship, specialised training, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge research that bridges academia and industry.
One Ph.D. position of duration four years is available in the
Theoretical at the Institute for theoretical Physics at ETH Zürich. The
Ph.D. position will be funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation
to achieve the goals of the project “Universality in many-body
nonequilibrium dynamics: from hydrodynamics to field theory” coordinated
by Dr. Gabriele Perfetto.
The PhD student will be a member of the quantum statistical physics
group and co-supervised by Dr. Nicolò Defenu.
We are launching a new ultracold atom experiment in Donostia/San
Sebastian utilizing dysprosium atoms in programmable optical tweezer
arrays. This state-of-the-art platform will incorporate a quantum gas
microscope and other cutting-edge technologies. This initiative is part
of a strong collaboration between DIPC (Spain) and the University of
Innsbruck (Austria), fostering a dynamic exchange of expertise.
We are looking for two PhD Students to work in the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) hosted by the University of Gdańsk. The positions are offered in the Quantum Devices in Computer Science Group (QDCS) led by Michał Studziński.
This recruitment concerns PhD student positions created as part of the SONATA-BIS project No. UMO-2024/54/E/ST2/00316, entitled "Efficient higher-order quantum computations". The project is financed by the National Science Centre (NCN) in Poland.
