Welcome to Quantiki
Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.
Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. “Beyond IID in Information Theory” started as a workshop in
Cambridge, organised by Nilanjana Datta and Renato Renner as a forum for
the growing interest in new approaches in quantum information theory to
obtain coding theorems in the finite block length regime. Since then, it
has grown both in scope and size, now being the most prominent annual
conference dedicated to quantum Shannon theory and its applications in
quantum information science.

The Theory of Quantum Computation, Communication and Cryptography
(TQC) is a leading annual international conference for students and
researchers working in the theoretical aspects of quantum information
science. The scientific objective is to bring together the theoretical
quantum information science community to present and discuss the latest
advances in the field.

This workshop marks the halfway milestone of the FoQaCiA project, a
groundbreaking collaboration between leading researchers from Europe and
Canada. Funded through a flagship partnership between Horizon Europe and
NSERC, FoQaCiA aims to chart the boundaries between the computational
power of quantum devices and classical computers, identifying the “line
in the sand” that defines tasks with quantum speedups versus those that
remain classically simulable.

Following the highly successful 2024 event, this will be a one week
residential conference in two of Oxford’s historic colleges that are
located very conveniently next to each other. Experts will gather to
debate the challenges and opportunities in the worldwide effort to
achieve general Quantum Advantage.
The Hybrid Quantum Systems Laboratory (HQL) is led by Nils Johan
Engelsen and makes interfaces between cold atoms, photonic integrated
circuits and ultrahigh-Q mechanical resonators. We are part of the
Quantum Technology division in the Department of Microtechnology and
Nanoscience at Chalmers University of Technology.
Application deadline:

The aim of the role is to realise functional quantum memories using
the electronic and nuclear spins of tin-vacancy (SnV) colour centres in
nanofabricated diamond chips, using quantum optical control from single
confined spins using both optical and microwave fields. The research
topics will include the realisation of efficient photon emission,
high-fidelity coherent spin control using optical and microwave control,
demonstration of spin-photon quantum entanglement, and quantum
information transfer and storage in nuclear spin registers.
