I am recruiting one PostDoc in my group at Inria Saclay, Ecole Polytechnique near Paris. PhD and master thesis candidates are also welcome to apply. As part of a new dynamic INRIA Team located in Saclay, you will have the possibility to collaborate with other quantum information researchers in Paris area and abroad.

Application deadline:

Friday, January 5, 2024

Salary: Scale 7 (£39,347 - £42,978) - Full time/Fixed Term Contract
Closing date: 5-Jan-2024 23:59 (UK time)

Applications are invited for the position of a 2-year Research Fellow on the Fault Tolerant Quantum Simulation project at the University of Portsmouth. The main project will involve the development of quantum simulation in the first- and second-quantised systems.

Application deadline:

Project: The project aims to advance the theory of superconducting processors for accurate modelling. A special focus will be on finding and characterizing the Hamiltonian of a large processor using numerical analysis. This project is part of my commitment to the European Research funding for making 100+ qubits, called OpenSuperQPlus (https://www.opensuperqplus.eu )

Topological states exhibit protected currents and robust localization that can stabilize unique functions in stochastic and biological systems. This exciting and growing field opens fundamental theoretical questions in non-Hermitian and dissipative physics with new mathematical and physical properties.

Quantum measurement lies at the crossroad between quantum foundations and quantum technologies. One the one hand, the measurement problem has irrigated all debates about the meaning and completeness of quantum theory - On the other, measurements are key processes in quantum technologies, as they bring results from the quantum level to the end user.

One postdoctoral scholarship position is available in the group of Jorge Cayao at the Quantum Matter Theory Program at Uppsala University, Sweden. The group studies different topics in the field of condensed matter theory, including topological matter, non-Hermitian physics, Floquet phases, and odd-frequency superconductivity.
