The new round of Anne McLaren Fellowships (for women in science) and Nottingham Research Fellowships (for all candidates) at the University of Nottingham is now open. The Fellowships are open to outstanding early career researchers with up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience. The Fellowships offer a three year competitive salary, with a link to a permanent academic position at the end of the project (subject to performance).

The Physics of Information Group, at Instituto de Telecomunicacoes (in Lisbon, Portugal), is seeking to hire a Research Scientist to develop research in one of the following areas: quantum information theory, quantum effects in biology or quantum thermodynamics.

The candidates are expected to have research experience at post-doctoral level in one of the above areas, or in general in: open quantum systems, quantum optics, condensed matter physics, solid state/graphene physics, biophysics, or information processing in biological systems.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for the position of a Research Associate (initially for 1 year, extendable upto 3 years based on performance) under the project “Topology, quantum computation and spintronics with Dirac materials” in the School of Physical Sciences, NISER funded by DST Nanomisssion, Govt. of India.
