We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on
quantum error correction (QEC) and fault-tolerant quantum computing
(FTQC) for photonic and spin-optical architectures. The successful
candidate will work part-time in the QEC/FTQC team of Quandela (Massy,
Paris region, France) and part-time in the Institut Mathématiques de
Bordeaux, under the supervision of Prof. Gilles Zémor, for an initial
two-year term, with the possibility of extension.
The Centre for Quantum Engineering, Research and Education (CQuERE)
is one of the centres at TCG CREST, Kolkata, India. The theoretical
areas of research currently being pursued at CQuERE are quantum
computation, quantum algorithms, machine learning, quantum information,
quantum communication and quantum cryptography. In addition, there are
experimental activities in the areas of quantum sensing and
superconducting-qubit based quantum computing. CQuERE has opening for a
few postdoctoral positions in the areas of theoretical quantum

The research group of Associate Professor Jarryd Pla has an opening
for a Post-Doctoral Fellow. In this role, you will conduct simulations,
design, and experimental work on superconducting quantum devices to
perform quantum-noise-limited measurements at elevated temperatures
(> 1.5 Kelvin).
This post is funded by the ‘Integrating quantum sensors with bespoke
quantum error correction’ project supported by the Engineering and
Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The task of Ouyang’s group
at the University of Sheffield considers the integration of quantum
error correction (QEC) with quantum metrology, in particular, the
channel estimation problem. This project will study specialized quantum
error correction codes that maximise the quantum advantage attainable in
the quantum estimation of classical fields, while also considering
reasonable physical constraints that are imposed by the physical
system.

We are looking for a postdoc or staff scientist to join our Rydberg
atom + optical nanofibre team
(https://www.oist.jp/research/research-units/light) at OIST Graduate
University, Okinawa, Japan. For those with significant experience post
PhD (>5 years), the appointment may be at staff scientist level
(fixed duration). Essential qualifications are a PhD in experimental
cold atom physics, with a good publication record, and fluency in
written/spoken English.
The development of quantum technologies and machine learning are two
of the most dynamic research directions of our time. Within the
Helmholtz Young
Investigator Group “Machine Learning for Quantum Technology” we
aspire to merge the parallel advancements of both fields, where quantum
challenges match the natural strengths of machine learning and,
reversely, the quantum applications call for the development of new
machine learning techniques. Therefore, our research targets the
exciting intersection of (non-equilibrium) quantum matter, quantum
information, and machine learning with the goal of unveiling previously
unexplored many-body physics and devising interactive strategies to
manipulate artificial quantum systems. The Young Investigator Group is
part of the Peter Grünberg Institute - Quantum Control (PGI-8) at
Forschungszentrum Jülich, which specializes in novel optimal control
strategies for emerging quantum technologies. Current research
directions include tensor network methods, machine learning, in-situ
optimal control, and quantum many-body phenomena.
